Advanced Total Aircraft Washing System Model ATAWS

The integrated ATAWS Total Aircraft Washing System

The ATAWS (Advanced Total Aircraft Wash System) is the complete integration of Hydro Engineering's AWS, Aircraft Wash System and TEWS, Turbine Engine Wash System.

The Hydroblaster Model ATAWS is currently fully supported by the TAMP (Theatre Aviation Management Program) and TASM (Theatre Aviation Support Manager) within both Combat Theatres of Operation. Hydro Engineering, Inc. Hydroblaster Models are designed keeping support as redundant a possible. This is advantageous as one support part is compatible with the two deployed systems and eliminates unnecessary quantities of different support parts.

ATAWS AGSE Approved Advanced Total Aircraft Wash System

This specially designed unit has unmatched capabilities--one system for cleaning the aircraft engines and is also capable of aircraft corrosion control requirements.

The ATAWS Aircraft Washing System can be pulled by tug or almost any vehicle

Designed in cooperation with AGSE, the ATAWS is the safest, toughest aircraft washing system available!

The ATAWS is designed with dual hot water washing and foaming soap chemical delivery wands for exterior corrosion control, allowing up to 3 soldiers to wash simultaneously.

Its tandem axle configuration with 525 gallon water tank, dual 30 gallon chemical tanks (one for gas path cleaner and another for corriosion control chemical (foaming soap), spare storage and four hose reels make this a fully self-contained unit.

Dual high-pressure hose reels mounted on the curbside allow easy access to the (wash)control panel during start up and shut down sequences. Gun and wand assemblies are stored in holsters provided adjacent to the hose reels.

All moving parts; diesel engine, high and low pressure pumping systems, battery and plumbing are conveniently located in a lockable stainless steel enclosure, out of the weather and safe from tampering.

Inside the stainless steel enclosure is the heart of the machine. Its water-cooled diesel engine is designed for the temperature extremes found in the field, belt-driven triplex plunger pump is simple to service and rebuild, and the maintenance-free gel cell battery and coolant reservoir require little attention.

Duel fuel tanks feed the engine and burner system. This allows maintenance personnel to use fuel additives that may be designed only for use with the diesel engine or the oil-fired burner.

Located at the rear are a full complement of useful features; dual 30 gallon gas path and foaming soap tanks, dual hose reels feeding the chemical application systems, spare parts and cleaning equipment supplies.

The AGSE spares kit includes everything the operator requires to complete the mission.

The ATAWS was designed to meet all mission requirements with ease of use in the forefront. Its curbside (Wash) control panel includes: KEYLESS engine start/stop, emergency kill switch, burner temp., soap pre-spray system and chemical selection controls, as well as hour meter, charging system and low engine oil light. The road side (Turbine Engine Cleaning) control panel includes all valves and controls allowing selection of either gas path cleaner or fresh rinse water. This system also alows cleaning of up to two engines at one time, dual wash harnesses and remote operator mounted dual controls are included.

The Hydroblaster ATAWS trailer system has a CAD-designed and stress-modeled framework of 3, 4, and 6" steel. Its fully-welded structural steel frame has integrated mounting points for every item the AWS includes.

Shown here, the ATAWS features an integrated chemical bucket mounting kit, hand brake and lifting eyes.

The Hydroblaster ATAWS is so well balanced the tongue weight is only 465 lbs (with or without water). Here the HMMWV hitch ground height is 29.5", our unique lunette eye hitch will accommodate height changes from 18" to 31" while the trailer remains level.

Our quick-lock lunette eye, multi-position hitch, allows the ATAWS to be pulled by most vehicle assets.

Double hung "A" frame supports the hitch assembly and provides stable towing even at high speed. Safety chains, full height trailer jack, lifting eyes and D.O.T. lighting is all included in the ATAWS.

The ATAWS is provided with an emergency safety brake actuator, electric brakes on both axles and MIL Spec lighting plug.

The Hydroblaster ATAWS is the clear choice of the U.S. Military. Over 1300 Hydroblaster Aircraft Washing Systems and Turbine Engine Washing Systems are in use in the Middle East
